TESTIMONIES OF THE REDEEMED

He pulled my soul from the long fingers of death.

I was locked within the cell of hopelessness for some time now.

My pain and tribulation were brought on by my ever-fading health.

For me to be healed and redeemed, I just could not see?

But all was made right when I got on my knees to pray,

Having much faith, I waited and waited to see.

Then my God both healed, and redeemed me that very day.

Therefore, I will praise His Name for what He graciously did for me.

I was addicted to pain-killers and good, green weed.

Surely, God wouldn’t consider turning a righteous ear my evil way.

Then a friend reminded me of a God who freely does good deeds.

It made me rush home that day to faithfully get right down and pray.

Just maybe, I would have enough faith to receive my blessing this day.

Well God took a while to respond to my humble request,

But when he finally did, He made sure my addiction was gone forever.

Therefore, I will praise His Holy Name and give Him my grateful best-

For I have a testimony of being redeemed, that I must share forever....

The testimonies of the redeemed are a blessing to the open ears. They are a seed of hope, ready to be cultivated. I love the way that you encourage us through your pieces. You are indeed a blessing to me. God bless you and thank you for sharing your works!

I thought to write a poem expressing the blessing of being redeemed was a must write. Thank you for reading.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
