    The Bird

    In the pink evening sky

    I saw a bird:

    sudden flight,

    rustle of wings.

    Quietness in the ground

As it pierced the space around him.

Just a passing moment as the sun set.

    I saw the bird.

    Satisfaction to my soul,

    Enjoyment to my day.

    A flight,

    A flirtatious movement

    As the light gave way

To the crescent darkness of the night.

Thank you, earthly! I love bird watching too. They are such magical, ethereal creatures... I wish I had wings like them!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
