    THE DEDICATED PASTOR'S WIFE

You Preach the message of Salvation,
As I hold up the Pillars of your work.
We’re both Soldiers of a war of proclamation,
On the Battle Field defending, protecting for righteous sake.

I walk softly, catching the weight you leave behind,
    Never interrupting your measurable progress,
While staying dedicated to this earthly toil of mine.

You call me my sweet First Lady, and
I desire to serve as such.
Joyfully, Laboring hand and hand with you,
Guided by a Penetrating Potter’s Touch.

Thank you for commenting on this poem. I am sure this poem could be understood by most pastor wife's. It is a great duty to be a pastor wife. She has to keep the man of God together, her house, and herself.

I was really blessed by your poem

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
