The Dream

The Dream

Waves breaking across the foot trod sand

Erasing the past with a majestic hand

Mist cools the wounds that will never heal

The salt stinging the burns that are starting to peal

Shadows seem to come and go

The moon casting her breath taking glow

The sun brings the knowing light

Along with the hearts ceaseless fight

Columns of words play the tune

From the winter through spring, and June

I’m melting in this vivid dream

Of memories haunting until I scream

I still see you standing there

Promises broken without a care

The pooling words that break my heart

Through the minds window they neither end nor start.

Thank You !! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
