The Fate of Man

The Fate of Man

we exsist in a heartless tide as the world turns
the heart of the fell woman, who cries and yearns
the blade so polished, in the light it gleams
this blade, the killer of all things
but, yet tread carefully, for not only blades can kill
the rightousness of lords, and their orders and thrills
dont let curroption, greed, and plenty, in your heart, it will consume
leaving behind emptiness, pain, and treachery, evil will bloom
remember the holy man, who whispered in times of dread
you have nothing to fear, if you're one of the dead
stride in, full encour, applause and and happily bow
the spirit of humanity, will thrive forever and now
be warry of those who wish to see lines blurred
the mortallity of humanity, will become tested or lured
dont despise all change, the world will turn on
keep in mind the hearts of all, here and gone
respect the departed, respect the eldest
have faith, have belief, question and contest
believe in your heart, believe in your mind
what you've learned, you'll never leave behind
stand gracefully, stand tall, be as you desire
only you can climb yourself higher and higher
fear not in death, fear not in life, all the world around
fear in only your part, and that your own self is sound
protect those you love, tooth, claw, and sword
rejoice in all taken for granted, by our powerful lord
seek wisedom, further your means to understand and evolve
in time you'll understand, what it means to continue on and involve
understand that life can fail, and that death can come
but embrace the unknown, for thats when life has begun
understand that theres no time like now, and never will be
understand that the world will turn, as how it should be
understand theres always a reset, and everything can change
understand that the world is interesting, and yet so strange
understand the world is still young, and same with our sun
we have many ages to learn, about what we should do, and have done.
trust not in the hearts of mankind, but in his inginuity, his accomplishments. Man kind will learn to do what he must, because he has to. He will learn to adapt, and he will learn to destroy. Most importantly, he will learn to live, and he will learn to be happy. He will walk in the shadows of his ancestors, on the same roads and trails they once took themselves. He will find himself in serenity, and self captivity. He will know hunger, sadness, lose, and pain. He will know plenty, happiness, life, and tranquillity. He will understand what it means to be alone, and to be welcomed. He will know wealth, as he will know poverty. He will know love, as he will know heartache. He will know how to smile, as he will know how to frown. Most importantly, he will know to live, as he will eventually know to die. The fate of man kind, and all life as man kind knows. Man will smile, simply because he can, and man will do so willingly.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
