    • Not on here often enough, but will try to do better....

    The Incomplete pass
    I stepped out of the shower all hot and steamy
    Slathered my body in scents warm and dreamy
    Put on my nightgown, a cool baby blue
    ribbons and lace and fairly see-through

    I slipped into bed where my husband did wait
    His eyes were ablaze as I anticipate
    The passionate romance on this glorious night
    I coyly turn over and turn out the light

    My husband transfixed on the t.v. exclaims,
    "Hey! Turn that back on! I was watching the game!"
    What was I thinking? Had I lost all reason?
    There's no time for romance during football season!

    So that's how it is after 23 years....
    I ran down to the kitchen, grabbed a couple of beers
    a bag of pretzels, then back into bed
    Who needs to have sex? We'll watch football instead!!
    *sigh*.....

    This is a great poem with a wonderful bit of humor and sarcasm.I guess I am an oddball in the sense that if I was watching a football game and I had a beautiful lady making romantic gestures toward me,I would turn off the tv.I've never understood those men ,who get so wrapped up in other things and ignore their significant others.They don't realize what wonderful opportunities they are missing to connect with someone that truly loves them.
