    The Longing

    So many roads I've traveled
    So many more to go
In my search for all the answers
To the questions I have known

I have walked the straight and narrow
And the long and winding road
    Ever searching for a place
That I can call my own

I have no one here beside me
Though I long for a womans touch
To ease the pain of loneliness
And surround my heart with love

In the stillness of the evening
I can hear her call my name
    From across the open valley
    Through the highest mountain range

I search for her from dawn til dusk
Never knowing where she may be
    Wondering if my longing
    Is merely a fantasy

I want to lay beside her
By the coolness of a stream
To touch her on the shoulders
    And be her every dream

I'll follow my heart til I find her
Where 'er the seeds of love may roam
    Bringing our two hearts together
In a place we can call home

A beautiful poem from your lonely heart. But you are not alone.

there's nothing i can say other then this how i feel, the longing one suffers, never knowing if it's all in vain or worth the crippling pain.

The journey....We all have to walk the path of life

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
