The Message to Be

Poem Commentary

On being mortal and the message to Be. This came to me through a meditation. Simple but eternal.

The Message to Be

Curiosity, wonder permeates my existence

A lasting saga of my essence

Chronicles, legends woven, torn

Spiraling back, being reborn

Being mortal, breathing air

Somehow finds me acutely aware

Sensing the struggles of each personification

Granting renewal with every manifestation

Still inside a thread remains

Confines of the body echo like chains

Allowing not emancipated reign

 along remembered eternal flames

Given and stolen has the braid been made

Spoken and broken and laid unafraid

Created by magnificent stars projected

Angled direct through the heavens unaffected

A message cast within its yarn

Its verse repeats on being born

Go Again, My Beloved, Be Everything You Can

Romance me with your divine plan

"Spoken, and broken, and laid unafraid" I Just one of the inspired lines in this lovely work!

Thanks for reading and noticing what's in between the lines, as well.

Reading this leads me to believe your 'spirit' is aware & recognizes the confines and limitations of our bodily existence, acknowledging the two in unison equals your soul.................Excellent

Yes, definitely, this simple truth came to me during a meditation with the sun.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
