    The Remnants of War

    Fallen foes
    lie broken,
    upon a misty
    battle field.
    Lives so easily stolen
    by the guns we wield.
    Here within these lessons
    so few can comprehend.
    it’s all but a play
    upon the stage
    of imagination;
    games of pretend.
    Words written to honor,
    a fallen hero’s prayer.
    Yet little to aid
    for a mother bereaved,
    Left to mourn
    time and again.

    So sad that we all can 't get along. So many Mothers left to mourn.

    Makes one wonder if peace can ever be attained through power. It just never seems to work. Maybe we all suffer from God-complex's. The ways of being human seem to be far forgotten. Enjoyed the read blue. The italic gave it that feel, that feeling of sadness. And even through victory, there is still the sting of hopelessness.
