    The Self Made Man

It must be tuff to pick one's self up,
every time things came tumbling down.
    To never bluff,
    When things got ruff
    And always be around.
You never feard to speak of confessions,
Just to cleary teach us our lessons.
    These are'nt mearly thing's I mention,
    It's stuff that really count's.
You are the man who does more than most can,
Like building a home with only one hand.
    One arm in a sling,
    Three kids & a plan,
To give them the thing's that he never had.
    I'ld say it's apparent,
    You're more than a parent,
    You're my metor,
    Best friend,
    A good ear to lend,
And I wanted to share it!

I rate this a 10; This is a wonderful praise of a beloved Father...

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
