The Sun Rises

  • Love

    The Sun Rises

When the sun rises I think of you

Your sparkling eyes are like the morning dew

    Bringing my soul to life

    Awakening my heart

    Longing to be with you

My mind soars to the time that has passed

Since I met you, my love, at last

    Forever on my mind

    Embedded in my very being

    Everything else is surpassed

Life has left scars that you have healed

A new life for me is revealed

    My heart can love again

    The harsh feelings are gone

My feelings are no longer concealed

The sun sets, I think of you

Too long without the heat of your body

    So close to mine

In the throes of love, as we entwine

Your sweet lips as they close on mine

    Engulfing everything that I am.

I like this very much, its wonderful when you find the happiness that you deserve to have, especially after having loved and that love for whatever reason was lost or stolen leaving you alone with a broken heart. Lady you are so gifted, a natural talented Poetess, eaasy to see why this one won the competition.

A simple trophy winner indeed, it says grandly what others so look for to happen to them. An excellent read, thanks and congrats, be well, k
