    The Third Star

    Autumn fog dims light
Perched against the dead of night
    Are the stars pale bright

Haiku syllable count. Seasonal change word in Autumn fog, a strong haiku Interesting Oxymoron on the ending as well (pale bright) it gives dimness yet it offers a sparkling feeling. time passing into renewal. The image as a whole is like a snapshot which is complete for the Haiku form. Nice poem Miriam. A poet friend// RH Peat

isn't this a haiku? It is meant to be short-only 17 syllables in fact! This was very well done and excellent in form.

I like it. Short sweet and to the point. Keep it up
