    The Whack Attack that isn't Crack

     Caffeine in my mind
    Speeding me up all the time
    How is it still on the market when after one sip you can TELL its legit?
    Is the notion of its legality crazy only to me?
    Do other feel the same in this society?
    Caffeine is a drug, a stimulant, quite strong
    One needs more and more to keep awake so long
    It is not healthy and it makes me lose weight
    Though I can contend that it makes me feel great!
    It's wonderful and awful at the same instant
    Easily accessible to the smallest of infants
    The caffeine in coffee is a powerful drug
    But it is accepted even as an addictive one
    My state of mind changes as I sip it in class
    It makes me goofy sometimes and I act like an ass
    Coffee has me baffled at the allowance of its growth
    I should stop while I'm free from the everyday oath

    this made me think....caffeine is indeed drug. however, it has never been as detrimental to society as some of it's other compadres. is caffeine a gateway drug ? i dunno. i used to drink coffe when i worked the admissions unit on a psychiatric ward. super wired but super alert. i ramble...i liked you poem i will give it an 8.

    Great write allegra! I enjoy coffee myself from time to time, but like dah I enjoy medicinal herbs haha, but im not talking bout coffee, 'Herb like fruit, keep you healthy, mind clear.' Later, Spence, p.s. I like ur name

    Coffee is actually a medicinal herb which allows the blood vessel to dilate bringing more oxygen in to the blood stream and to the brain, and, yes, I am addicted too. I am a confirmed abuser!

    ....and as an herb, it's used to treat depression. It has to be better than chemical drugs for the liver. Like all herbs or pharm. drugs, if abused, can be seriously harmful. Enjoy anyway, and consume less.
