    The Woman & Two Paths

There was a young woman walking down the street when she came to a fork in the road. There were two men standing there to greet her. The man on the left told her she could have all the excitement that she ever desired. The man on the right told her she could have wisdom, joy, and peace. The girl feeling low inside , decided to take the road to the left. She thought I could have more freedom and do whatever I want to do. Not Knowing, the path she was on would lead to destruction. She began to go to night clubs, sleeping with different men, trying drugs, and drinking alcohol. She was so out of control no one could tell her what to do. She did things she said she would never do and went places she said she would never go. She was to the point where she was so confused and empty inside she thought to herself I should just take my life. BUT, that road she had once passed up came back to her again and this time she decided to take it. The man that had waited for her the first time was still there waiting for her the second time around. She struggled and sometimes missed the excitement, but rather than continue down the wrong road she stayed on the right path. Like the woman with the issue of blood, the young woman wanted to be made whole. She was so desperate for healing in her life. The man placed his right hand on her left shoulder and said,"My daughter you have chosen the right path and I will stay with you always." The man walked with her through all she had to face in order to be freed of her burdens. Now today because of this man that young woman can tell you her story of what JESUS has done for her.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
