Poem Commentary

This is a blanket of protection for a friend who is far from home.

There's no place like Home

The Lord spoke,
And he said this is a prayer I speak to you.
You ask for my blessing,
I ask if your heart is true.

True meaning,
will you live and honor my way.
Will you get down on your knees,
and praise my name each and everyday.

When the enemy calls me false and of make believe.
Will you say I am the true living god;
and the Lord is what I need.

Will you follow my commandment each and every one.
Then rest in my great hands of joy and security,
and I'll bring you home safe when the days are finally Done.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
