    This Cage

    This cage is small
    I do not fit
    I'm all scrunched up
    Inside of it

    This cage repulses
    The stench unbearable
    My stomach turns
    This damage irreparable

    This cage is locked
    I can not escape
    My skin is split
    By snugness of tape

    The years go by
    The scars appear
    All that is left
    Is the emotion of fear

    I force my eyes open
    On you they remain
    As you unlock the door
    Release me from pain

    You do not give up
    I'm carried away
    And with your soft words
    I may heal someday

    arent we all looking for that one with the key...great portrayal...i like the cage reference...reminds me of this poem im working on right now...four walls of my mind...your rhymes are great!

    not sure what to say about this one. I REALLY REALLY like it but I dont know why. I really am just lost completely, but a feeling of familiarity is kickin around somewhere inside my head when I read this one

    Wow, another good work. I really like your style. It is somewhat similar to mine, but unique. I like the rhyme scheme and fluidity of your poems. And they really do drip with imagery and passion. Makes me want to read more... K
