    This Cold Winter

     This cold winter
    lasted too long
    I need to see green
    hear the bird's song
    The fragrance of spring
    my favorite
    yearning for sunshine
    I'd savor it
    Feeling the good Earth
    plant seeds of hope
    this cold winter
    so hard to cope
    The chill that's outside
    takes human tolls
    sets inside people
    numbs hopeless souls
