    This Life Is Too Much

    This Life Is Too Much

    11:23 P.M. 2/20/08

    Scott Wright

    I can’t live a life where I am criticized,
A life where I am hurt inside,
Inside of me is nothing but pain,
And I feel like I am living in vain,
    Nothing feels to be right,
    Everyday is a new fight,
At night I feel like I’m not whole,
By day I feel like a lost soul.

I can’t continue to live this life,
I can’t continue to fight this fight,
    My pain must go,
    It can not stay,
I can not live my life this way,
    I’m giving it up,
    And giving it away.

I give it to you Lord,
    My life is sealed,
    What should I do Lord,
    For now I am healed,
    What is your will Lord,
    It must be fulfilled.

    I’ve changed my life,
And been baptized in Jesus name,
    I’ve accepted my right,
And the Holy Ghost released my chains,
My soul is whole and full of sight,
And my body no longer is in pain.

Thanks to God I’ve been redeemed,
Thanks to God I’ve been set free.

This is very very beautiful and nicely written piece.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
