    Those Stares

     Its in the way you look at her,
    Your looking right into her soul..
    You opened her up;
    All of her secrets now suddenly exposed.
    Everyone can clearly see the things she hides
    even from herself.
    The things she holds closest are the things you would choose to exploit.
    Those secrets come rushing out within a minute of looking at her.
    So you will never see her eyes.

    Your just a stranger walking down a hallway,
    If she was to look at you would know to much.
    Her eyes are the dam stopping the river,
    If you look into them trust me you would drown..

    She's good at putting on a brave face,
    But what she needs the most she will never get.
    As much as she can block out the pain,
    Anyone who looks in her eyes would finally know.
    Those Gucci bags, Prada shoes..
    Everything unexplained finally becomes clear,

    Thats why she smiles her smile,
    But keeps her eyes down.
    She's scared for the day those stares will expose her..
    So she is always looking down

    Hey lilsecret, this poem drips with Jealousy. Sounds like you don't like those stares. Those stares that men inevitably make...even when you're looking. Sorry m'love, we can't help ourselves.     "Looking right into her soul"? Its just not good enough to say that. If I were looking into someone I'd be looking at something like here the voice says finally that it is looking at all of her secrets. There has to be a way to be more direct with that without being trite. The voice admits finally to being scared of being exposed. It might have been stronger as a poem to state this first and support why that fear is there and the result it has on the voice.

    Her path has intersected a more desired path she yearns to take. She is momentarily frozen in the crosswalk observing her aura held hostage by conscience. "But what she needs she will never get" *_______* Great lines. Great write. 9
