    A few thoughts

    Thoughts before sleep

     The goodness of your heart strengthens me
    To nurture the dreams that seek to fly free
    As they become the beauty they are meant to be
    Because of your presence I am able to see
    The particles of change that are the key
    In my eyes you are like a sheltering oak tree
    By your gentle inspiration I am refreshing me
    This love has its own life I feel you agree

    I REALLY like the multiple rhymes here! I believe that form, structure and rhythm contribute perhaps almost equally to content in poetry, and your format here just increases the beauty of your deep, soulful, heartfelt expression. Being able to see that your work is so astute flatters me that you noticed my own contribution...thank you for this work, it warms my heart.

    Thank you, the words are meant for someone, I am glad they speak to others as well for we all need to know we are cherished by others especially those so very close to us.

    Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
