    Poem Commentary

    when i was younger, i was constantly running away... My life was really tough and i couldnt take it... But for some reason i always came back...

    Thoughts of a Runaway...

     As I step out of the door,
    I bow my head to pray
    for my family's safety
    and that I may see them again, someday...

    I shift the bag on my shoulder,
    and take a deep breath...
    A tear slids down my cheek
    as i walk down my porch steps...

    I picture the tear-stained note
    while I disappear into the night...

    "I love you all, but I've had enough...
    Im taking myself out of the fight"

    SOUNDS LIKE THIS WAS WRITTEN BY ONE WHO HAS BEEN THERE.....SOMETIMES WHEN THE FIGHT IS JUST ABOUT THE NEED TO KEEP FIGHTING AND NOTHING ELSE....ALL YOU CAN DO IS TAKE YOUR SELF OUT OF IT.....BODY SOUL AND MIND........GREAT POETRY
