Tiger in the Mist

Tiger In The Mist
It was a quiet beautiful night.
As I moved through the jungle.
The air was freedom to my senses.
For so long had they been denied their rights.

When out of a black hole
came the razors of the beast
that claimed and tore my flesh.

It's strike was so swift.
By the time I felt the crushing of my bones,
the beast had passed onto another.

The beast left me for dead,
with what I thought was not much time.

But; the Lords eyes were upon me,
And granted me life.

wow...again...your style really captured me...simple but with great insight...i love the feel of warmth while reading your poems

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
