  • To achieve success in anything you need to start with a dream. Know your dream. Know why you are doing what you are doing. Create the fire that's needed to connect you with your dream. Create the passion you need in your pursuit of success. Create a desire to reach your achievements. Success can be yours if you have the courage to try..May your wishes all come true and they can it's all up to you

Poem Commentary

A friend of mine asked me what I thought about going back in time and this article was my reply.

I'm putting this on Audio soon...

Time Travel

Did you know that changing how we think about our age and health can have dramatic physical benefits?

Imagine that you could rewind the clock 20 years. It's 1989. Madonna is topping the pop charts, and TV sets are tuned to "Cheers" and "Murphy Brown." Widespread Internet use is just a pipe dream, and Sugar Ray Leonard and Joe Montana are on recent covers of Sports Illustrated.

How do you feel? I’ll bet you feel as I do, my clock has been turned back two decades. Just by using my imagination in just a few moments I traveled 20 years back in time but most important, I became 20 years younger.

What would you do if you fell in the fountain of youth?

I know what I’d do; I would open a kissing booth.

I’d give free kisses to all the ladies in the webook society

Then I’d savor the flavor of a very pleasurable variety.

We mindlessly accept negative cultural cues about disease and old age, and these cues shape our self-concepts and our behavior. If we can shake loose from the negative clichés that dominate our thinking about health, we can "mindfully" open ourselves to possibilities for more productive lives even into old age.

I heard it first from that wonderful lady of wisdom and rhyme, Wendy Brady. She told me in one of her rhymes, think yourself well and she didn’t mean maybe. So now when it comes to my health my mind is the healer and physician. When my body says no my mind tells it to make a healthier transition.

We are surrounded every day by subtle signals that aging is an undesirable period of decline. These signals make it difficult to age gracefully. Similar signals also lock all of us—regardless of age—into pigeonholes for disease. We are too quick to accept diagnostic categories like heart disease, cancer and depression, and let them define us. Doing so preempts the possibility of a healthful future. With a little mindfulness, we can try to embrace uncertainty and understand that the way we feel today may or may not connect to the way we will feel tomorrow. Who knows, if we're open to the idea that things can improve, we just might wake up feeling 20 years younger.

Here’s a thought considering parallel universes, if you recall I talked about their existence in one of my thought boxes.  Since we experience absolute reality we cannot consider that the other reality exists though we actually also exist in that other reality and in that reality we cannot conceive that this reality exists. Since we experience absolute reality we cannot consider that the other reality exists though we actually also exist in that other reality and in that reality we cannot conceive that this reality exists. Where do we look for an understanding of this reality? It is found in philosophy, in particular, the sterile philosophy of positivism. The branch of philosophy that examines the nature of reality, including the relationship between mind, matter, substance, attribute, fact and value. Mind boggling isn’t it? I brought this up to show you that my mind is open and still working.

I put this thought box together after having a stroke and since my return from Hawaii if you find it unusual it’s because I have dozens of thoughts running around in my mind all at the same time. I’m dictating this to my daughter Cindy Hampton. She thinks I’m crazy but let me assure you I’m not. If you follow my thoughts you’ll find they all have a purpose. Good Luck

When you read my thought boxes you are going to see a variety of thoughts and ideas.

If you only learn one thing from what I present then you can bet, whatever, I will be pleased.

In order to believe me you must have faith. Faith will allow you to see God and follow in his footsteps. God has given us a wonderful and amazing gift, faith for the unknown journeys in our lives. The ability to have faith has always allowed people to experience victories and fulfill their dreams. Have faith in me that what I am telling you is true and attainable. Have faith in yourself that you can overcome any obstacle and reach out for the improbable dream.

William and forgive me for referring to you as D.C.; who knew. lol Yes, I believe that we can overcome anything we make up our mind to, most of the time, or with a little help from a friend. And, for when things really get bent out of shape I have a prayer I say: Dear God ask your Son, Jesus, to leave a path by His footprints this day, just for me. Amen It works everytime even when the sky is grey. Thanks for reminding me that I am only old as I feel and if I feel any younger.....I may become a teeny bopper (heaven forbid). I would be younger than my kids and that is not in the order of things....rofl

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
