Poem Commentary

UNBELIEVABLE...
At "50" there is no one in 5 generations of my family that doesn't know MICHAEL JACKSON.
What strange is that with all his fans, fame, fortune and family he died alone.

TO MICHAEL, GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.

An icon before his time
Never the chance to unwind
Confused and misunderstood
Innocence lost with his childhood
Still a child locked inside
Makes you wonder about his mind
What he thought
The demons he fought
The man inside
The tears he cried
What he wanted, if there were regrets
If he and God had spoken yet
Now he's gone, unanswered questions remain
Why couldn't he find happiness within decades of fame
I guess it doesn't matter
How bright your star shines
No one is exempt from the trials of time
So keep your head up
Stay steady on your feet
Keep it real with your creator
So you can REST IN PEACE

GOOD-BYE MJ 2009

It saddens me that at a time when Michael truly needed his fan’s support, many turned on him and accused him of horrendous allegations. While I cannot claim to have been a HUGE Michael Jackson fan, I did enjoy the beauty of his voice and the words he shared with the world. His lyrics held such depth; sensitive and filled with underlining meanings that few seem to interpret. As of then, as I do now; I do not believe the soul with that much gentleness and warmth would have harmed a child. Michael, as you pointed out in your poem, was a child within. How difficult it must be to have your childhood turned into a never ending blur of musical mayhem and disillusion. Hopefully someone will one day provide for his children the gentle soul that was their father.

MJ needed help and if it wasn't for the greed of some that consumed his life, he could have had it but now it is to late because he is gone. Thanks for your comment.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
