    To the few & many

    I’m not here to impress
    You, him n her
I write because I enjoy it
    Not because I have too
    My hair may not straight
N my words may not rhyme
    For Maya Angelou I’m not
    & don’t claim to be
I know what I talk about
    N from whence I come

    Like me or not
    Poetry is my release
    It’s an extension of me
    Through words that weave

I feel you... Writing is medicine for me...Liked this

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
