    Tribute

    Tribute

Against  glorious scenes of rapture, she did appear

Whether known or not was pure conjecture

Laid resting, none could be better

Than the one, she would say, who is the rester

    Memoirs, memoirs, begin again

Sight and sound and broken bend

Poised in her craft and much to lend

She was not from here, don’t be mistaken

        Tripped from a planetary gyration

Although her stature of grace was tall

Adorned with loveliness, she gave all

Even though she beckoned awesome chances

         Met with many marvelous glances

She spent hours in darker dances

         Transfixed by other powerful trances

    Other phenomenal worlds awaited

and charmed the one that was abated

In other escapes, she has not faded

Come, come they say, your fate is not slated

If not for family, some would say

she could not stay another day

.....She did not like this world, anyway

Enigmatic and somewhat sad, I hope that she is glad and happy now.

Very good meter. "If not for family, some would say she could not stay another day" This stanza and much of this poem reminds me of someone. She decided to stay for family. Broke a heart with her decision. Mine. I enjoyed reading this.

I think mainly, I am speaking of my own self in this poem and someone that passed that I admired, too.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
