True Love

True Love

My dearest true love,
Attracting like the opposites that we are.
Disagreeing to agree,
Fighting to make up,
Challenging to create competition.
Yelling out
"I HATE YOU!"
When you really mean
"I love you,
But you get on my last nerves."
Because you're true love
Knows the right things to say
And at the appropriate time.
Kissing at the beginning of the day shift
Cuddling by the end.
Giving birth,
While having the same amount of joy,
Watching day by day,
Your little creations grow up.
The first time they hold their bottle,
Say Ma Ma or Da Da,
Their first steps,
Watching,
Loving,
Enjoying...
Every moment of life,
Through the lovable moments
To the rough moments
Where you feel like you've had enough
And want to give up.
But
You
Don't.
Because in the end
You know where your heart is
And where your soul wants to be
And when you look into your future
Your true love is what you'll see.

thanks

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
