    Turn Around

I love you more than life itself and I swore I always would.
But last week down at the courthouse, you broke my heart real good.

When you slipped off your wedding ring and placed it in my hand.
I knew the dreams were over, I was back where I began.

So, I loaded up the U-haul and headed out of town.
Another thousand miles, wish I could turn around.

Turn around and hold you, the way I used to do.
Whisper sweet," I love You's " Like our love was brand new.

The road I travel is familiar, I've made the trip a dozen times.
But it's the first time I've departed, without that heart of mine.

Soon, A full moon will be rising, that old sun is setting down.
And another million tears will fall, wish I could turn around.

Turn around another curve and be back at you door.
Put my arms around you, find your love once more.

Because, without you there's no music, not a solitary sound.
Maybe soon you will want me and turn my life around.

aww, sadness, this poem is wonderfully written, the emotions and feelings described in the poem make me feel sad. departing love from a marriage is very sad, for some, I don't know if everyone will feel this way but everybody can relate.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
