    Uncle Sam

     I got laid off from work today
    And my bills are overdue
    My truck broke down
    And my dog ran off
    And my woman says "we're through"

    I worked so hard
    At all my jobs
    But they don't give a damn
    The more I make
    The more they take
    To pay my Uncle Sam


    I fought for that man
    In Viet Nam
    And nearly lost my head
    When I get through
    With that ungrateful dude
    He'll wish that he were dead

    With what I make
    And with what he takes
    You'd think it would be a sin
    To take it all
    And leave none at all
    For my starving
    Next of kin

    Very well put my friend a true lesson learned even after fighting for the government, I'm glad you did fight for our country you are one and a million. this poem was smooth and politcally correct.
