    uncomfortably bummed

    he didn't show
the lure of my voice on the phone
thought each word would tear through him,my siren song
bring him near enough to touch
kiss, after so many years what would that first kiss have been?

it's the questions with no awnsers that leave me so deflated
as the vernacular would have it, i am totally bummed

the removing of him from immediate memory i find very hard
    a sliver at a time
like how they used a razor blade to shave the garlic in "goodfellas"
transparent slivers that dissolve when they hit the oil
    memories dissolving in the hurt
it's a good system as Henry Hill would say

I think the metaphors are off.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
