I will NOT retreat
I have the strenght to achieve my goal
my goal is small
its ability is big
my adrenaline rushing
my sight strays to a corner
to see something move
a CHILD,
i yell to her over the explosions
so i run to her and become armor for her
heart beating
pulse racing
my goal has changed
my goal it to save this child
keep her alive
NOMATTER what
I'll give my life
for this child i dont even know
this is a soldiers life in battle
your life means nothing
Is it worth it?
saving a new generation over an old
YES it is
its a choice we all most make
to become a united state soldier
my honor means nothing
glory the same
i choose this life
now i hope people do the same
people ask why i gave up my life
they ask for honor
if for glory
if none then why would i die
people tell them i gave up my life
for a CHILD wouldnt you
if you we're called to serve
would you go
people mourn over my death
WHY
i ask not to leave sadness with the ones i love behind
be happy think of the reasons i died
i died to keep you safe
for if i didnt die for you
then be sad i died
but for you my friend i gave up my life
for yours, i died to keep u safe and out of harms way
my family the same
when you speak to my siblings
dont tell them i died for nothing
tell them im gone so they can live
just like the child
and if you didnt go.
would you be a shamed if you let a child die
because you couldnt be bothered
i agree war is not to be tampered with
but if necessary to save a life
but if it wasnt for us united state soldiers
who fight for freedom
what would this nation become
thats why we take pride and
be the few who will go and keep you free
this is the reason
i choose to be a united states soldier
and i gave my life
to save a child
who i hope someday
will return the favor.
