Poem Commentary

My poem of sadness and depression!

Unleash

I have unleased the feelings I've hid inside,
That have been burdening me for five years straight.
I let out my cries and all my deepest sighs,
As the tears roll, the thunder comes and darkens the mood.
The secrets that were locked away come to the surface,
They turn my fown to neutral, as blood boils,
I grow angry in fear of what may be there.
My cries silenced and my anger slighted,
I crawl to my safe-haven by that corner,
So, dark I con't see,
So, creepy I hear things.

I have unleashed the words I kept to myself,
I unleashed all that was neer shown.
I let go of the feelings of horror,
Because they bled out.
Through cuts on my wrist you see little specks,
Those specks tamed me until they died,
Now loose, I can tell the world how I felt:
When I was bullied, hurt, yelled at, and cursed at,
The things I've seen I can't unsee,
and the things I heard I can't unhear.
The things that happened can't not happen,
So, I unleash the feelings of grief and pain.
Utter disapointment leaving my lips.

I have unleashed all that I have kept inside,
all this time!

Fine by me.... I enjoy seeing life from someone else's point of view... quite interesting. I gotta say though... your poems are deep.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
