Poem Commentary

A poem about my never ending quest for true love...

Unspoken Soul

As the newly born day arises,
My heart embarks on a blinded journey of life.

I search with reluctance,
For a love that is true and divine.
I gasp in fright,
At the thought of being painfully stricken,
But by the faith of God I inch on.

Slowly as I travel,
I see masks of many diversities,
And I plunder upon how I might wear one.

I bluntly search,
For the embodied soul in which I might live.
These masks I cast off into the fiery pits of hell,
To see the true and undeniable light which lies from within.

I look for the fury soul,
Which revels itself through pain.

I grow weary of my forever-wounded heart,
I plea for the truth of true love.
I ask for little and pledge a lot,
This is my wound,
This is my plea.

Hear me unspoken soul,
For I look for nothing less,
I demand to be heard and seen,
I am born into this day…

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Never give up hope,
To find true love in one!!!

now you are reading some of my real old works, lol. This one I wrote when I was like 14 or 15, lol. I was a real deep and twisted teenager, lol. If I remember this poem I was getting really fustrated when I read this poem as my heart had been scarred and broken so many times, so many masks of illusions, gets old. Even at 15 I was searching for my one true love, didn't find her till I was 22 but I never did stop looking. Purity of the soul, journey well!!! with grace and humility your friend ANGEL

wow, this is amazing! I just read it again. Different perspective. Simply beautifully written, have no more words left. At times for me words just can not describe the emotions in these poems you write. I have finally realized you are really very deep down to your inner soul with the way you write. Do you also think this way? A great write. My poet, my son

my biggest fan, always! lol. You are to biased, lol. I do always appreciate your comments and reviews! Each persons perspective is unique based on one's own set of ideals, norms, they way we were raised, our past experiences, all these things help to develop our own unique out look on life or our perspective, some alittle more different than others. I would probably be on the alittle more different side, lol. Purity of the soul, journey well!!! Angel aka your loving son

Oh boy, maybe you might want to take off and see what revues you will now generate. I know this is you looking for your soul mate. I will never forget your journey for this one true love. It was going to be the service you told me, unless you were to meet this love without a face yet. I could be wrong. Oh how funny that was when you were suppose to go up to the hotel for your reenlistment and you were at some dr's office with this girl and a five month old. Was his name chandler? Not sure but, me and nana went right into the office and i walked through the door to where you wait for the dr. to come in and went to every one till we found you. But i can't recall if you went or not. I have always read this poem out of your book a few times. One thing for sure of you is that when you are searching you will find what you are looking for. For sure. Just like Nursing. My poet, my son

I think I wrote this one when I was in my early twenties. I so don't remember your story, lol. I do remember the girl and the little boy, he was so cute. I don't know if I ever really liked her, I loved her little baby, lol. Purity of the soul, journey well!!! Angel aka your loving son

angel, Written with conviction and pride, the message is clear and convinces the reader that the poet is invincible. ginga

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
