    Until Its Too Late

I don't want to wait until it’s too late
To tell you, “I love you.”
So I take time now to tell you how
My love for you is true
I don't want to wait until it’s too late
To hold your hand in mine
To talk with you the whole day through
    To always cherish the time
I don't want to wait until it’s too late
To say you are so strong
To compliment you on all that you do
    Whether it’s right or wrong
I don't want to wait until it’s too late
To say your voice is so sweet
It’s in your walk even in your talk
    In your every heartbeat
I don't want to wait until it’s too late
To say you’re all I need
Wherever you go I want you to know
I love you in word and in deed
I don't want to wait until it’s too late
To say that my heart is yours
You won my heart but the greatest part
    You've unlocked all the doors

I really like this!! One should never wait to say what they should today!!! Who knows what day will be your last. Very nicely written and so full of truth!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
