Vanity

A look, a gaze, an eye to see
from whence the light does fall.
Bright it makes the path for me,
and fond memories do me call.

Ear to breast it is said my dear
helps when sight does not.
Each step we walk is not to fear
the heed that salt cost Lot.

As creek to river to sea does run
thence to show how oceans grow,
so this day for me was begun
as a scarlet journey long ago.

Fain vanity of vanities,
floes snow to ice then water,
they hide the tree's green mysteries.
and coat white the lambs to slaughter.

You make me reminisce, then believe in the power of touch. Test my knowledge of my faith and test my belief in creationism. Then end in a beautiful reality pill of life. A journey of oneself. I enjoyed it. Write on......
