    Vietnam
    A million miles from home...
    In a jungle with gooks in trees...
    Fighting what we can't see...
    Losing ground through every rice field...
    In blood up to our knees..
    Was this my destiny
    Like mice in holes men flee..
    My friends are all around me...
    Mostly body parts...
    They are still in the jungle...
    But I will always hold there heart...
    They died for me...they did their part...
    Never to be forgotten each morning as I start.

    I'm glad that I chose this poem as the first of yours to read. This is something only experience can write. All i can say is thank you. Thank you for serving. How ever I am very saddened that you had to see your brethren die beside you. "As long as there is man there will be war". That is the sad and terrible truth. ~the fraz

    Bitter sweet your words. I remembeered going to The Presido and visiting Jim Castile...he had lost his arm midway past his elbow. So many others. Thank you for an honest tribute.
