    Vindictive

     Skidded knees and painful lies,
    How am I suppose to grow up like this?
    I'm remembering everything I swore I wouldn't.
    The images make old blood boil,
    The telling signs of anger,
    You have long forgotten,
    Revenge, I've never been one
    For such a thing.
    These ripples have made the waves
    I'm caught in now,
    Propped up by useless promises,
    A puppet for your controlling,
    I've shattered the limits I set
    A long time ago,
    Your strings replacing my hopes,
    Your venemous words replacing
    My long lost faith,
    I've never felt so vindictive as I do now,
    Now that I'm free.
