Water

Water

With just that one touch

You bring me back to life

Calmness…you give me much

When you’re too hot you pierce me like a knife

And when you’re too cold I shiver back to real life

But when you are just right

I feel the pressure rise

Ripping off my disguise

Letting the steam envelope me with aggression

Taking me to that special place

Wrapping me in a comforting embrace

Constantly devouring my stress

Covering me like a tight dress

While I wash away my dismay

In hopes to find relaxation from this day

You give me what I need to wake me up

You fill me like water does a cup

Erasing all the sound behind me

Making me feel as if I am free

Dripping off me each time I make a movement

Making me want to dry myself with improvement

Even though I am unwilling to leave this soothing

I have to keep on moving

In order to look forward to another time

To release me of my lovely crime
