When soaring eagles are shot out the sky

When soaring eagles are shot out the sky

A cold breeze comes in, chilling my heart,

Against the sun, and against the light.

Catches me off guard as my eyes look upwards,

Distracts me from the warmth of Your grasp.

A casual remark rolls of the tongue,

Causing the blizzard against my heart,

I remember how You called me out the dark, out of the night,

I can not forget and I can not hide.

In this moment how can I go off course,

I’m fallen and faulted and falling,

This doesn’t help my case,

But I have a blank cheque, and a slate wiped clean.

When soaring eagles are shot out the sky,

By the deeply piercing fiery arrows,

We will still run, we will still walk,

And we will not grow weary.
