    WHY NOW?!

     

    WHY NOW?!

    ***********

    Within one or two days

    The beautiful lady will leave

    The lady I kept hidden in my heart

    Secretly taking care of her

    Does she know?

    How if she knows,

    That I’m secretly dandling her?

    How if she witnesses the evidence on the arrow?

    Passes her soft fingers and checks my blood?

    Shall that put her in fire?

    Shall it break her into pieces?

    Shall it fill her with desire?

    Or she will fall in restless dreamy sleep?

    How if the woman who is leaving within two days

    Look back and says:

    For so long our eager been awaken behind the walls

    Why now? Why only now?

    -         When it is too late-

    You are coming and knocking the doors?

    Oh dearest, what shall i say?

    I am uncertain but I felt this beautiful lady was perhaps a caregiver? Nurse? Regardless, it was pure emotions jumping off the page! True, she is going away and what do you say? I believe honesty prevails all else! Wonderful description of a love leaving. Hugz

    Someone once said what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. This isn't always true. Sometimes things that happen leave you with an empty void inside which is bottomless. This was an uplifting comment now wasn't it. 10 from me on this excellent piece.

    Hmm-This one is written with so much emotion, so much reality in verse, that the poem makes me want to learn more. See the lady run without restrain into your arm and hold on tight to the love you harbor for her! I love the romance and mystery to this write! This piece just feels like heart!-beautiful.-Maddi
