Will I Bow Myself To Thee

Will I Bow Myself To Thee

I am but a budding rose
On the thorny tree of life...
My petals, although fragrant now,
Have weathered constant strife.
My day of bloom is drawing near,
My petals will soon burst free...
And then, as now, Oh Lord, my help,
Will I bow myself to Thee.

I am but an old oak tree
Standing tall amid life's dale...
My limbs, although shady now,
Will one day their blossoms fail.
My days of fall are drawing near,
Soon my bared limbs all will see...
And then, as now, Oh Lord, my help,
Will I bow myself to Thee.

I am but a dawning day
In the span of all life's time...
Though my rays are vibrant now,
There comes an hour I will not shine.
My time of dusk is drawing near,
And soon in sunset I will be...
And then, as now, Oh Lord, my help,
Will I bow myself to Thee.

Consistency of commitment isn’t always an easy feat to pull off. I definitely think it’s assisted by a clear declaration of intent. It gives us well defined parameters to stay within, and if we can make the sharing of it engaging and inspirational as well – so much the better! I see a growing sense of self assurance in your work, bro. That’s a good thing. That’s a very good thing!

NICE WRITE! The steps of age by content are well put and humbling. To know that every time we fall to our knees the guarantee there will be that much less of me!

I truly believe that a mind set as this, that you are a prime candidate for the Lord to use in a magnificent way. May God richly bless your life.

Thank you, GentleT. My constant prayer and hope is that the Lord WILL use me in some small, insignificant way. I do have a burden for those imprisoned, though. What human doesn't deserve a second chance? Thank you for your kind comments.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
