Poem Commentary

there are many styles of poetry and many voices to judge them. these words explain mine :D

Writing Styles

it’s not that I have less to say,
but say it in a lesser way.
in words less used for brevity,
and riddled lines for eyes to see.
styled by design
jester, prose and rhyme.

precision sought in pondered thought,
a word game loved to play.
in message hid, revealing id,
omission is my way.
styled by design
compression suits me fine.

Sentiment of a master of poetry. To reach your readers in such a way.

So finely you do weave these treasures that you leave! Simply perfection!

Compression is my expression of my precisions. I owe you big time and thought I would read you this morn before going out of town. This is tinkling my fancy. Sally

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
