    You Went Before Me

     You came before me
    Years before I was ever conceived
    Living your life in a hazy dream
    So many things you saw and did
    Yet you said you truly only lived 
    From the first day that we met
    You were my senior by several years
    Still I knew that what we had was real
    Saying to hell with the skeptics 
    You taught me so many things
    Together we traveled the world
    Reveling in our love wondering if it was truly real
    Now I lay alone and wonder if it was all just a dream
    Leaving me to wonder why
    Why did you leave me so suddenly?
    The reason has alluded me
    You said I was your reason to be
    That you came before to watch over me
    I know now there is only one answer
    You will be there when the long day is done
    When I am through you will be there waiting
    So you went before me

    that was good, i like that, you are a great poet, your poems will take you along way

    In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
