    A Distant Friend

    A distant friend is all you'll ever be
    never again will I let you get close to me
    the lies and troubles that tore at my heart
    would always keep us apart
    you would always mistake my kindness for weakness
    and abuse it again and again
    this is why you'll always remain a distant friend.
