    A Lost Mind

    A lost mind,
    Could someone help me find,
My mind that seems to always be behind,
Behind in time and space but it always loves to chase,
    Chase what you say?
Well today it seems to want to know where my woman stays,
Is she where she says she is? Or could she be somewhere else with his,
His mind and heart and soul they share,
So my mind is lost while my eyes have a glare,
Hasty thoughts my mind will make,
It makes it impossible for me to shake,
An earthquake could not rattle my thoughts,
To think about all the things i bought,
All the words that were said and the moments shared,
My mind blocks them out and makes me not care,
To love is like evil who makes us blind,
While feeling like i lost my mind.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
