    A Tree Without Leaves

    A tree without leaves
    Stands on my front lawn
The birdbath is all frozen over

    The grass is all brown
    And tread into the ground
How I wish the winter was over

    I long for the spring
    To hear birdies sing
And to see green sprouts break cover

With rich scents in the air
And the sun in my hair
With my lawn all covered in clover

Hi fisfall. Icheck to see if you had summited any more poems and found most all your poems gone. II sure enjoy reading your poems. Lucy Burke

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
