I woke up today

that seems to be my latest accomplishment.

I said that I would stay

but there is no motivation to my decision.

I fear that I may be living a lie

but who is to say that but me alone.

I fear that God may have no one for me

but I look in the mirror and I see my face.

I look into my own eyes and I see progress

so you can stay

or you can go.

Either way I will still wake up tomorrow

and know

that I have already made an accomplishment.

For today I realize that I am Wonder Woman.

That I am strong of mind and body.

That even know its $5 a gallon at the gas pump

and its taking a huge chunk

of my shrinking bank account.

It's okay.

I'll make the day count.

Because I have the day.

I took a minute and stood in the sun and took in the rays

I took a breath, but then I realized that...

My kids need milk and the house needs heat.

The car needs to be fixed

I need to by groceries

and

the laundry needs to be done.

But I refuse to come undone

in my present state.

I do not take

as much as I give

I want to live
