All I Want for Christmas
All I want for Christmas
Is to have my hand in yours.
To know that all the longing
At last has been endured.
To curve into your shoulder.
to fit there, like a glove.
Assured that in this place,
I am sheltered by your love.
To see your eyes glimmer,
Reflecting lights aglow.
To feel your breath on my cheek
and never have to go.
To sit before the fire,
Listening to you hum.
Music in the background,
while my heart succumbs.
All I want for Christmas
is this simple bliss.
Have it last forever,
as though time does not exist.
Is to have my hand in yours.
To know that all the longing
At last has been endured.
To curve into your shoulder.
to fit there, like a glove.
Assured that in this place,
I am sheltered by your love.
To see your eyes glimmer,
Reflecting lights aglow.
To feel your breath on my cheek
and never have to go.
To sit before the fire,
Listening to you hum.
Music in the background,
while my heart succumbs.
All I want for Christmas
is this simple bliss.
Have it last forever,
as though time does not exist.
