    Alone

Alone in this room four walls surround me
Crying in the darkness so nobody can see
The pain I feel cuts sharper then a knife
I'm just standing still as this thing passes me by called life
Does anyone know me can anyone hear me scream
Somebody please wake me from this nightmare of a dream
Nobody can see the pain that tears me up inside
Am I just existing in this shell of a body that has died
I wish for one person to save me and take it all away
But for now I'll keep dreaming and wishing for that day

Alone seems to be a common theme among the poets here. I wrote one by that name too. Yours seems a brief echo of mine.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
