ALONNESS
As we grow older
we trade our youth for wisdom.
In the thick mist of Solitude
Soliloquy finds its speech.
Hamlet, Shakespare's friend,
knew it all!
The youthful zest is lost.
Abundance of time prevail,
Thoughs of unaccomplished dreams
One knows!
An aching emptiness is born.
Only in time like these,
when one is alone.
Then one knows self
Indeed ourselves, better!
we trade our youth for wisdom.
In the thick mist of Solitude
Soliloquy finds its speech.
Hamlet, Shakespare's friend,
knew it all!
The youthful zest is lost.
Abundance of time prevail,
Thoughs of unaccomplished dreams
One knows!
An aching emptiness is born.
Only in time like these,
when one is alone.
Then one knows self
Indeed ourselves, better!
